The Proto Group of North Haven, CT is pleased to announce that Lou Proto and Steve Patten were recognized recently for their “Deals of the Year” at the 2011 Greater New Haven Association of Realtors Commercial Investment Division Annual Awards dinner.  Proto was recognized for Largest Land Sale and Largest Retail Lease and Patten received awards for Largest Office Lease and Largest Apartment Sale.

The Largest Land sale was for a 102 acre parcel of land at 475 Boston Post Road, Waterford, CT which sold for $5,500,000 to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital for the development of a new hospital campus.  Proto represented the buyer in the sale.

The Largest Retail Lease was for 60,000 sf retail space leased to Wakefern Food Corp for a Shop Rite supermarket at 750 Queen Street, Southington, CT.  The lease required the previous tenant successfully negotiate a termination in order for Wakefern to complete the lease.  Proto represented the tenant in the lease.

The Largest Office Lease was an 11,065 sf full floor leased at One Church Street, New Haven to Yale New Haven Hospital for a billing function for a five-year lease.  Patten represented the landlord, One Church Street Associates.

The Largest Apartment Sale was a 16-unit apartment building at 142 Rowe Street which sold for $415,000 to BH New Haven Properties LLC.  The property had been condemned due to a long list of Housing Code Violations.  Patten represented the buyer.
