MILFORD, CT: Hobby Lobby Stores from Oklahoma has leased the former Sports Authority on Route 1 in Milford, opposite Costco. Hobby Lobby signed a 10-year lease for 43,148 SF which is valued in excess of $5,600,000. The Proto Group represented the Landlord, and Rob Robledo and Kevin Higgins of CBRE/Grossman represented Hobby Lobby Stores in the transaction.
NEW HAVEN, CT: Jordan's Furniture, a Warren Buffet owned Massachusetts based furniture chain, will open its first Connecticut store in New Haven. The company signed a long term lease to occupy the former New Haven Register building on Sargent Drive. Tim Fegan of the New Haven office of CBRE and Rob Robledo of the Boston office represented the Landlord and The Proto Group represented Jordan's Furniture. The lease is valued in excess of $16,000,000.
BRANFORD, CT: The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers has purchased 15 acres of land of the former Bittersweet Farm in Branford to construct a state-of-the-art training center for the Army reservists. The purchase price was $3,705,850. The Proto Group was the sole broker in the transaction.
DANBURY, CT: Starbucks Corporation has leased 2,000 SF of retail space at 109 North Street in Danbury, CT. The developer, Gary Michael, Jr. of 109 North Street LLC will build to suit for the national retailer. The ten-year lease was valued at $1,225,000. The Proto Group and Goodfellow Ashmon represented the Landlord and Tim McNamara from Sullivan Hayes represented Starbucks Corporation.
SCHENECTADY, NY: The Proto Group represented Emptees in its expansion into the Albany, NY market. The new store is 5,600 sf at Woodlawn Plaza In Schenectady, NY anchored by Aldi Foods. Andrew Peckage of Trinity Realty represented the Landlord. The two-year lease has a value in excess of $100,000.
NORTH HAVEN, CT: Rockville Bank has signed a long-term lease at North Haven Shopping Center. The new facility will house a new 2,500 sf branch as well as 2,500 sf of a second floor loan office. The Plaza is under going a complete remodel with a planned new façade, pylon, lighting and tenants. The lease was valued in excess of $1,300,000. Jay Fisher of Accubranch from Rocky Hill represented the bank and The Proto Group represents the Landlord.
AVON, CT: Sally Beauty Supply signed a ten-year lease for 1,500 SF in Nod Brook Mall, 315 West Main Street, Avon, CT. The landlord, Nod Brook LLC was represented by Fritz Kemmerling of The Dartmouth Company. Sally Beauty Supply was represented by its exclusive broker, The Proto Group.
ROCKY HILL, CT: Sally Beauty Supply signed a 10-year lease for 2,029 SF at Town Line Plaza, Rocky Hill, CT. Dan Neaton of Saugatuck Commercial represented the Landlord, Acadia Realty Trust, and Sally Beauty was represented by its exclusive broker, The Proto Group.
